Helping the Big Bend Get Past COVID

Safe & Healthy is a communitywide educational initiative that combines the resources of local governments, local hospitals and health care providers, the public school system, and media partners to keep the public informed and provide up-to-date information on COVID-19. As the number of new COVID-19 Delta variant cases are on the rise, it is important for the Big Bend to be resilient in our efforts to stay safe & healthy.

Like all communities, Tallahassee and the Big Bend have suffered the disruptive effects of COVID-19, which has killed hundreds of our friends and neighbors, closed thriving local businesses, cost many their jobs, and forced us all to adapt.

But from the beginning, this region has pulled together to combine resources, share information, and attack COVID-19 with a united front.

Now we face new opportunities and fresh challenges. New vaccines have been approved, but faster-spreading variants of the original virus have emerged. It’s critical that we pull together again, for all our sakes.
